Refund and Returns Policy

At Hughes Power Store, we strive to make your return and refund process as simple and stress-free as possible. Please carefully review the details of our Refund and Returns Policy before initiating a return or refund request.


How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us via email at sales@hughespowerstore.co.uk or by calling +44 0800 009 6633 with your order number and details of the item(s) you wish to return. Our customer service team will guide you through the process and provide further instructions.


Return Policy Overview

  • Return Window: You may return most items within 30 days of the delivery date. Please note that returns after this period are not accepted unless the product is faulty or covered by a warranty claim.

  • Non-Returnable Items: Certain items cannot be returned unless faulty, including generators or any power equipment that has been fueled or used.

  • Return Process: Once we receive your return request, we will assess the issue and provide you with specific instructions on how and where to send the return. Returns must be processed according to the guidelines provided during this process.

  • Return Address: As we work with multiple manufacturers and suppliers, the return address may vary depending on the product. We will provide you with the correct return address during the return initiation process.

  • Condition of Returned Items: To be eligible for a return, items must be in the same condition as when received, unused, and in their original packaging, with all accessories included. Items that have been used, altered, or fueled cannot be returned unless faulty.

  • Shipping Discrepancies or Missing Parts: If you receive the wrong item or if parts are missing from your order, please contact us immediately via email at sales@hughespowerstore.co.uk so we can resolve the issue promptly.

  • Restocking Fees: We do not charge restocking fees for returns.


Return Shipping Costs

  • Our Error or Defective Products: If the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product, we will cover the return shipping costs.

  • Changed Your Mind (Within 30 Days): For unused items in their original packaging, we will cover the return shipping costs for "change of mind" returns.


Warranty Information

For items covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, please refer to the warranty documentation included with your product or contact us for assistance. Depending on the manufacturer’s policies, we may handle the return or direct you to the appropriate service center. Warranty claims must follow the process outlined by the manufacturer.


Refunds

After receiving and inspecting your return, we will process a full refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been issued. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or card provider to reflect the refund in your account.


Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item, please contact us to arrange the return of the original item and place a new order for the replacement. Once we receive the returned item, we will process your full refund for the original order.


Order Cancellations

  • Before Dispatch: Orders can be canceled at any time before they are dispatched for a full refund.

  • After Dispatch: If your order has already shipped, we will accept cancellations, but the product must be returned to us unopened and in its original condition. We will cover the return shipping costs for canceled orders, ensuring a hassle-free process.

  • Refunds for Canceled Orders: Refunds for canceled orders will be issued to your original payment method within 7 business days of receiving the returned item.


Defective Items

If you believe your product is defective and covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, please contact us at sales@hughespowerstore.co.uk for guidance on next steps. Items must follow the manufacturer’s warranty claim procedures before a return can be approved.


Damaged Items

Please inspect your delivery upon arrival. If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Note the damage with the delivery driver.
  2. Contact us immediately at sales@hughespowerstore.co.uk with photos of the damage.

We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and arrange for a replacement or refund, as appropriate.
